This 12 point star design is a great idea for those that are wanting to think outside the box for a granny square style blanket.

It can be made to any size you want. A 16 Star blanket should be ample for a queen size bed.
The motifs offers texture that compliments the solidity of the stars.
It was originally designed as a mish mash stash buster but it also looks fantastic with planned colourways.

It can be made using any yarn but the designer recommends using 8ply, DK and a 4mm hook.
Following these guidelines each star will use approximately 230-250 yds and the motifs 180-200 yards. The yardage for the border is dependant on how big you make choose to make it.
