Lithos is the Greek root of Lithified, or layers and ultimately means rock and relates to Sedimentary rock layers of the earth. Much thanks goes out to Jessie Driscoll for being able to use her beautiful yarn as inspiration for this shawl.

This shawl was designed for all weights of yarn (minus bulky, but even that may work). The difference in weight and needle size will make a larger shawl. The finished shawl using the suggested materials is approximately 48” across, very light weight and much closer in size to a shawlette.

About 600 yards of lace weight yarn or any other weight of yarn. This pattern was developed to work with almost all yarn weights and corresponding needles
