Apples are my favourite fruit, and this little apple is a super stash-busting pattern as you only need a small amount of yarn. You could use your apple as toy food, a key chain charm, or even as a pendant.

THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the apple, a list of abbreviations and materials. The pattern is 3 pages and written in English.

TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles. You will need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams.

  • A pair of straight 3.75mm knitting needles (US 5)
  • Double knitting yarns (DK or light worsted weight)
  • Toy filling (or a few cotton wool balls) to stuff the apple
