A cozy cottage to decorate your home! These are a perfect addition to your Christmas village, a lovely gift for a first-time homeowner, or just a little something to remind you of home. Each cottage features a front door, back door, and seven windows so that you can display your house from any angle. Once stuffed, they are approximately 3 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide.

This is a fun and quick pattern for anyone familiar with simple colorwork and knitting in the round. Gauge is not important, and you could easily adjust the needle size to fit whatever yarn weight you have lying around. The base of the house is knit flat, then the sides of the house are picked up. If you have picked up stitches for a sock heel flap before, you will have no trouble.

Techniques featured:
-fair isle (stranded) colorwork
