Little Dino

I have been thinking about a new series of baby amigurumi for baby’s quite some time. However, the perfect idea wouldn’t come. Last week, my sister came up with the idea I was looking for: 2D softies with stripes. Yes!! I loved it!! So I started collecting the right colors and started crocheting. Here’s numer 2, a cute dino!!
Do you know what’s so great about this amigurumi? It can be a softie, but it has many more possibilities!! You can add some crinkle foil, a rattle or a beeper. Or fasten small rings onto the tail, and/or add a ring for fastening the toy onto the baby box, car seat or stroller. That will change your softie into a toy every child loves to play with!
In the ‘materials’ I mention Scheepjes Catona. If you want to make a bigger version of the amigurumi, you can use Scheepjes Cahlista. This yarn is available in the same colors as Catona. With Cahlista your Little critter will be a beautiful eye catcher in the baby room and you can add a music box into his tummy! Use crochet hook 3.5 when you use this yarn.

• Scheepjes Catona, 25g, Wit (390)
• Scheepjes Catona, 25g, Petal Peach (263), or Silver Green (402), or Candle Light (101)
• a small amount of black embroidery yarn for the eyes
• crochet hook 2.5
• soft stuffing (fiberfill)
• scissors
• embroidery needle for sewing

• 5+5 silicone beads 12mm + 40cm wax cord
• beeper
• maxi-cosi (fastening) ring
