This shawlette was designed for the 2023 Summer Extravaganza -Finesse Cotton Silk DK Mini Make Along With King Cole Yarns. When I touched the King Cole Finesse Cotton Silk DK yarn for the first time, this pattern called to me. It’s light, airy, oh-so-soft and easy to make. It uses 2 1/2 skeins of the main color and 1 1/3 of the contrast color for the edging.

The quick increases of stitches create a ruffle effect and the picot bind off really adds to that. The Little Frills Shawlette would be lovely for accenting a fab outfit or as all white for a wedding dress accent piece.

My testers ended up doing an extra repeat of the final panel, which added more ruffley goodness - to see their pieces, please check out their projects linked to this pattern. If you’d like that effect, you’ll need approximately 220 yds / 202 m more of your CC.

This pattern uses stockinette stitch as the main stitch pattern and has added eyelets to give the lacy effect (which are framed by garter edges). Out of the entire shawl, you only purl 13 entire rows - the rest are knit or with eyelets. There is a double selvage edge, which gives a tidy I-cord look.

There is also a video tutorial and this pattern has been tested.
