We have Little Giraffe Kits available on Barrett Wool Co.!

When I think of a toy knit with the theme of dots the first thing that comes to my mind is a giraffe. I have designed another giraffe that has been quite popular but I have been longing to take another swing at designing a very different knitted giraffe. And I am so pleased with the new results!

This sweet and friendly Little Giraffe is the perfect size
for small hands and arms to hold, squeeze, and love. If colorwork isn’t your thing, be sure to make the pattern your own by making a solid or striped version. The sky is really the limit.

The most exciting thing for the knitter is that Little Giraffe has a unique and almost completely seamless construction. The feet, arms, and ears are knit ahead of time and are then joined in as you are knitting the body and head. The horns are picked up and knit on with purl bumps as a placement guide. The safety eye placement is also mapped out for you in the pattern. There is no guesswork or stitching together of small parts. The only seam in the entire toy is to whipstitch the head to the body, which only takes a minute and is quite simple.

I can’t tell you how good this toy feels to hold. It feels solidly constructed and warmly comforting at the same time. I know that your own Little Giraffe will be loved by all.
