I made these little granny hexes in response to my need for smaller units for my growing temperature-mood blanket. I designed each block to feature two variable colours (one each for the daily temperature and my mood), outlined by a standard colour for consistency when sewn together.

I used DK-worsted weight yarn, but you could really use any size of yarn depending on how big or small you want to go! The finished hexagon fits comfortably in the palm of my hand!
