Little Hearts Placemat Crochet Pattern

This is a fun crochet pattern, for making pretty rectangle placemats full of little hearts :)

You can crochet a set of these placemats for your home or make them as a lovely gift.

The pattern works well with three colours, but you can make the placemats as colourful as you like.

The motif repeated in this pattern can be used to make blankets, table cloths, curtains and more.

Placemat size shown here is: 15.3 X 13.4 inches (39 X 34 cm).

2. File without pictures for printing the pattern.
3. Photo tutorial explaining how to join new yarn without a slipknot.

All are written in US English terms.

It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the pattern by following the photo tutorial first.
The printable version is best used when you already know the pattern.

Skill level: beginner/intermediate.
A basic knowledge of crochet techniques and stitches is required.

Materials:

1. Yarn: Sirdar Stories DK, 128 m/140 yard/50 gr. or any other brand of DK yarn you like; the exact amount of yarn needed is detailed in the pattern.
2. Crochet hook size: 3.5mm (Metric) E/4 (US).
3. Tapestry needle.
4. Scissors.
5. Stitch markers (optional).
