Crochet a cute little owl that fits in your hand! Little Koko is about 4.5 inches tall when using worsted weight yarn and is a fun and quick project.

{NOTE: There is a larger version of this pattern! Want to make a big owl? Check out my original Koko the Owl. Want both the large and small Koko patterns? Receive a discount when you purchase both together! Just place both patterns in your shopping cart.}

This owl amigurumi pattern includes detailed instructions and step-by-step photos, plus you can contact me along the way to ask any questions.

It is an easy level pattern that involves starting with a magic ring, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, increasing, decreasing, attaching pieces, and working through both loops, back loop only, and front loop only.

Materials you will need:

  • E US (3.5 mm) hook
  • worsted weight yarn approximately: grey 63 yds (58 m), brown 2.7 yds (2.5 m), white 10 yds (9.5 m)
  • yarn/tapestry needle
  • removable stitch markers
  • two 15 mm plastic safety eyes
  • polyester fiberfill stuffing

Note: If you are making this amigurumi for someone under 3 yrs, I recommend crocheting or embroidering the eyes instead of using the plastic safety eyes.

This pattern only includes the instructions for the small Koko the Owl.
