This an adaption of the Leo Leaf hat which was my very first pattern project. I really love this design but wanted to try it in 4-ply. It’s knitted flat with a twisted rib edge for a snug fit and I added bobbles around the lace leaf design as an additional element.

In 3 sizes; 0-3, 3-6 and 6-12 months. Obviously babies heads all vary so sizing is offered on the pattern.

There is quite a stretch to this design which makes a great feature as babies grow quickly.

You will need a lot less than one ball of yarn for the first size and have plenty left over to make some bootees!
