As the last bits of snow melt away, soon the buildings will be filled with air conditioning. And you’ll need a little luxury to get through the day. Enter: Fingerless mitts that take little to no room in your commuter bag and you can easily type or knit while wearing them.

Using just 20 grams of lace or light fingering yarn, knit in the round turning only to make an opening for the thumb.

Pattern assumes you can try the item on to test the fit for your thumb but also gives a length to work.

Worked in the round, on small needles with a fine gauge, this little gem hits the spot for being warm without bulk. Work the vertical thumb opening by knitting flat and that opening all but disappears when you slide the mitt up your arm.
