Little M Blanket is a nice project for using leftovers.
I used the same yarns with different colors, but you can use any kind of yarns.

Construction:
The first section starts at one corner, creating a triangle shape by increasing both edges of the work.
The middle section is a parallelogram, worked by continuing to increase one edge but decreasing the other.
The end section decreases both edges until they meet at the final corner. This resulting end triangle mirrors the first section.

This pattern is very easy and the size is easily adjustable.

Please note that the same amount of yarn is used for the beginning and ending triangle shaped sections.
