Beanie features a beautiful flower-shape crown allowing hat to be worn with or without a pompom, and the folded brim option allows for easy adjusting to accommodate a variety of heads. The simple chevron textured pattern is written in standard US terms and utilizes only knit and purl stitches. Knit in a solid color, this pattern is perfect for the beginner with only a little experience. For the more experienced knitter, instructions are included for two-strand color work that allows for limitless color combinations. This pattern is the perfect stash-buster, so gather all your scraps together! Whether you make a solid or two-color beanie and/or cowl, you will create a beautiful hat and cowl that look more complicated than they actually are. Skill level:
Easy enough for beginners with a little experience in the solid color.
Intermediate in two colors.

Beanie is one-size-fits-most adult/teens, approximately a 20-23” head circumference.

Cowl instructions include 10” by 8” and 12” by 8.5” options.

Materials You Will Need:
Size 5.5mm/6mm (US 9/10) or 6mm/6.5mm (US 10/10.5) Circular Knitting Needles with 16” cord for beanie, 22-24” cord for cowl. Approximately 130 yards of a light bulky Size 5 yarn for the folded brim beanie, 110 yards for the single brim beanie, and 115 or 140 yards for the cowl. An additional 40 yards is required for color work. Recommend We Are Knitters, The Petite Wool, Malabrigo Mecha or Lion Brand Scarfie.

Please note, there are no instructions included to make a faux fur pompom. This pattern is for the hat and cowl only!
