There is no sewing involved in making this little bear, other than weaving in ends and embroidering its face.

You’ll want at least three different colors of yarn: bear, pants and sweater, although there’s no reason you can’t go crazy and add some extra colors with striping or dots or other fun colorwork. You’ll also need some scrap yarn to embroider the face. Please think twice about using “safety eyes” for this project as they’re not appropriate for the under-3 crowd.

In addition to your fun colors of yarn, you’ll need some good quality Poly-fil to stuff this little beauty: feet, hands and body. Leave the legs and arms unstuffed to make your bear posable and huggable.

If you download this pattern, please make at least one bear for your favorite charity. This little guy was designed for a charity workshop, and we want to keep paying forward on this project.

Please do not claim this design as your own, and do not sell your finished bears, but gift them to ones you love or those who need a little love.
