Another design for my new niece, this delightful Baby Kimono is a joy to make. It features Oriel Lace Pattern at the lower edges and is knitted in one piece in the body and the sleeves are added after using double pointed needles and knit in the round so there are no joins. It is a one size garment but if you want a larger size garment for a bigger baby or older age group simply knit it using a larger needle and make the sleeves longer in length.

I used handmade Injabulo buttons to finish it with hand made in South Africa by a womens’ co-operative. They are really cut in little smiley cat shapes.

A big thank you to Mandy Scragg who test knitted this garment made for her grandaughter pictured in the green. Thanks Mandy she looks great!
