Description

The Little Tomatoes is a top-down pullover available in ten adult sizes.

The sweater is cast on at the neckline with ribbing, followed by neck shaping with short rows worked back and forth to raise the back neck. The yoke is then worked in the round to the sleeve separation, incorporating increases within the main color section. The lower yoke is shaped with raglan increases. Sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is worked top-down in the round. Sleeves are then resumed and knitted top-down in the round to the cuffs.

The pullover is worked in stranded colorwork, mostly with two colors at a time, with only a few rows requiring three colors.

  • 40 inch (102 cm) US 2½ (3mm) circular needles or half size smaller than main needle

Note: Suggested needle sizes are just a guideline — you may need to adjust to meet gauge. Many knitters also find they need different needle sizes for colorwork and stockinette to maintain consistent gauge
