The pattern comes in six sizes: 1-3 months (6-9 months) 12-18 months and 2 (3-5) 6-9 years.

The hat is knitted in the round on circular needles, 16 in / 40 cm long.

You will need:

• Circular needles in two sizes: US 2.5 / 3mm and US 6 / 4 mm

• Yarn (merino wool, cotton, acrylic or any other DK/worsted/8 ply yarn)

• Tapestry needle

• Cardboard or fork to make the pom-poms
