The Little Wanderer Cowl is a pretty simple introduction to color work in knitting.
I designed this pattern specifically for this yarn that I have had in my stash for over a year, from my favorite yarn dyer, Laineandlotus, seriously her yarn is AMAZING! I knew that this design needed slits, I wanted it to be the most comfortable cowl I have ever worn, I didn’t want it bulking up on my shoulders and it needed to be loose around my neck to prevent headaches and and that stuck feeling while wearing your seatbelt.
I imagined her being worn around the big city in the dead of winter, so she needed to be easy to layer(the slits). I also pictured her hiking the Appalachian Trail or riding down the Blue Ridge on the back of a motorcycle, then sitting around the campfire toasting marshmallows and sipping a local brew. Very sophisticated, yet fun and adventurous, hence the name Little Wanderer.
