Construction:
The full amount of stitches for the Liging on a Prayer shawl wingspan (neckline edge) are cast on and a small garter crescent shape is created using German short row shaping. Then, the lace pattern is worked over all the stitches creating the rectangular shape. The first and last stitches are worked as an i-cord edging for a smooth edge. A picot bind off is worked to finish the bottom edge of the lace.
