The Lizzy Bandana is a triangle-shaped bandana featuring alternating fish and peerie motifs and a contrast i-cord tie. It’s a cozy accessory knit that’s perfect for transitional seasons and also a great introduction to flat colourwork!

NEEDLES
3.75mm (US 5) 32” circulars or size needed to obtain gauge

Note: the gauge is loose, you may need to consider sizing up a needle size if you knit tightly.

The Lizzy Bandana is cast on from the longest edge and knit flat with decreases to create a triangle shape while you work the colourwork chart. Once the chart is complete, an i-cord is knit across the cast-on edge with long ends for tying.

The colourwork chart is worked back and forth in knit and purl. The pattern is repetitive, so if this is your first introduction to flat colourwork, I think it’s a relatively gentle one! Plus, it’s worth it to see the fish come to life :)

Note: The colourwork is charted only.
