My grandmother lived in Kyle of Lochalsh, and trips to visit her were a highlight of my childhood. It’s a little town just before crossing over to Skye, and my parents met because of the bridge that now connects the mainland to Scotland’s biggest island. I have the bridge to thank for my existence!
