The design is from an old French prison.

Yarn: Worsted weight, 2 colors of yarn needed, about 165 yards each color.

Technique: Faire Isle, knit in the round, bottom up. You could also knit the top part and just crochet the design on. I held the black in my dominent hand to make the single row stand out a bit more.

Size 6 needles: I used circular as it is easier to keep the stitches on the needle.

Cast on: Black: 110 stitches.
Ribbing: K1/P1 rib for 2.5 inches, purl one row (or not to make it easy to fold up), knit 2.5 inches.

Finished with Kitchener or 3 needle bind off.
