Wrap your baby in love! Logan’s Blanket was designed for a friend’s baby sister, and after receiving it, he says she won’t put it down. It’s soft and squishy and warm… all the things little ones crave for comfort. And those colors! Choose any three colors you like, and walk them up the sides of the blanket to prevent having a bunch of ends to weave in at the end. Drop & Swap for the win! That border is fun, too, and much simpler than it looks. All the way around, this blanket is a winner.

Stitches: ch (chain,) sk (skip a stitch/chain,) sc (single crochet,) dc (double crochet,) sl st (slip stitch)

NOTES:

~ You’re using 3 colors for this, and they are indicated as C1, C2, and C3 in the pattern. It does not matter which color you choose for which number, as they’re all used equally.
~ This patterns uses the drop & swap method of colorwork. When you reach the end of a row, work the last stitch until the final pull-through. Drop the color you’re working with, and pick up the next color to complete final pull-through and next row. You will do this at the end of each row of the blanket. This enables to “walk” the unused colors up the sides of the blanket, eliminating the need for weaving in a bunch of ends.
~ Any worsted weight yarn will do, so if your babe is allergic to wool, pick a fluffy cotton or a sleek bamboo. The texture of the finished blanket will be different, but it’ll be a lovely blanket regardless.
~ Don’t skip the border! It’s super simple to do, and really makes the blanket. Use whichever two colors you want, don’t overthink it.
