These socks are knitted top down. The pattern is written for the magic loop method but it can be easily adapted to DPN’s.

Skill level: Intermediate

Knitting skills:

  • Basic knitting skills (knit, purl, simple decrease);
  • Picking up stitches;
  • Kitchener stitch;
  • Reading of charts.

MATERIALS
Original yarn:
Regia Fashion Shine (75% wool, 25% polyamide, 460 yds / 420 m – 100 g). 1 skein of colour 06852 (main colour) For cuff I used left over yarn.
Yardage: 438 – 460 yds (400 – 420 m) in 3.5 oz (100 g)
Needles: US 1.5 / 2.5 mm 32” / 80 cm circular needles, or other size to obtain gauge.

SIZES AND GAUGE
Sizes: 1, 2 (3, 4)
Foot circumference: 8, 8½, (9½, 10¾)” / 20, 22 (24, 25) cm.
Foot / Leg length: adjustable.
Gauge: 32 sts x 44 rows to 4” / 10 cm on US 1.5 / 2.5 mm needles in stockinette st, after blocking.
