I hand dyed this 100% wool and I thought long and hard about what I wanted to make with it to show it off.

I thought it might look good using Herringbone Stitch and so this cowl came about. It actually did quite beautiful yarn pooling for me. That was a nice surprise to hit the “magic” number of stitches.

Folding back the collar reveals the back of the Herringbone Stitch, which looks like ribbing. Another happy surprise.

I enjoyed adding the whimsical icord lollipop flower to finish it off and give it some humor for the dark winter days to come.

This pattern requires 6.5mm needles for the body of the cowl and 5mm double pointed needles for the icord.
