Construction
The London Cardigan is a raglan style cardigan worked from the top down. The V shape in the front is achieved by making an increase the first and last stitch of the front panel every 4th row. I find it helpful to mark these increases with stitch markers to keep track. The sleeves are worked directly onto each armhole after the body and bottom ribbing are completed. After stitching the inside edging, an optional ruffle row is added.

Fit
The cardigan is meant to be oversized. It should fit with a positive ease of about 4-10 inches around the chest. The positive ease will be larger for the larger sizes. If you do not like a baggy sweater, I would size down and adjust the length of the body and sleeves to suit your little one.

Materials:
5.00mm (U.S H/8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
4.00mm hook (U.S G/6) for the ribbing.
I used Sirdar Snuggly Superset Rainbow Drops in the colour Love Hearts (100g, 236m, 258yds).
4-8 buttons (2cm/0.8in)

Gauge:
14 stitches/13rows= 10cmX10cm (4X4 inch) in hdc with the 5mm hook.
