London Mist is a simple asymmetric triangle consisting bands of fingering weight garter stitch interspersed with bands of kidsilk lace. This is a very simple yet effective shawl. Perfect for a travel project or a travel accessory, simple to knit and simple to wear.

REQUIREMENTS
Yarn: The Uncommon Thread BFL Singles for Yarn A, which is your main colour (I used 140g), Gepard Gard Kid Seta for Yarn B or alternatively, a contrast colour in the same yarn as Yarn A. Most fingering weight yarns will work but I have a real fondness for singles at the moment and there are many kidsilks to choose from.
Size: As written 64.5” (164cm) wide along top edge, 30.5” (77cm) deep before blocking and 93.5” (238cm) wide along top edge, 35” (89cm) deep after. It should be noted that this was very gently blocked, really just soaked, blotted and eased into shape.
Gauge: is really not important on this shawl but mine was 22 stitches to 4” before and 18 stitches to 4” after gentle blocking using a 3.75mm (US5) needle, measured on garter stitch. A different in gauge will result in a change in yarn requirements and finished size.
Needles and accessories: 3.75mm (US5) circular needles and a 4.5mm (US7) needle for the bind off, stitch markers with one additional and different marker to show the beginning of a right-side row, just under 200 Miyuki or Toho size 6 seed beads (I used some that picked up on the colour in Yarn A. All beads are placed on Yarn B), crotat hook or crochet hook to apply beads, yarn needle and blocking pins and mats.

The pattern is both fully written and charted throughout.
