This 1884 pattern was used for a toddler’s sock but it could be wonderful in an afghan or scarf. There are 8 simple rows with a multiple of 8 stitches: fast and easy! Two of the rows are knit across and two of the rows are purl across.
Tweed fiber and fabric originated in Ireland and Scotland. Also, Derry is the preferred name of Londonderry, Ireland but I liked the alliteration for putting a name to the original no-name pattern.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl and bind off.

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.
