Spring calls for lightweight mittens, and these fit the bill perfectly! With a thumb gusset that follows the palm curve, and the pine tree motif worked into the side of each mitten, these mitts are a simple yet unique addition to your outerwear this season. Use a contrast colour to add a pop to the ribbing.

Materials:

  • 1 skein of Tanis Fiber Arts PureWash Worsted, or similar weight yarn
  • 1 pair 3.5mm (US size 4) circular needles or DPNs

The Lone Pine mittens are also featured in an eBook of accessory patterns with the tree motif - make yourself a cowl and toque to match! Two skeins of TFA PureWash Worsted will make all three accessories.

If you’re not interested in pine trees, this pattern is great on its own! Use that wild speckly skein or just a plain one to make a pair of mitts that match everything.
