Lonely Lighthouse Overlay Mosaic Blanket
Lonely Lighthouse is a lovely overlay mosaic blanket pattern designed by me to remind you of days by the sea. Partly inspired by the Iron and Wine song House by the Sea, and partly inspired by a trip I took to Seattle, Washington as a teen, I think this blanket captures the moodiness of the ocean and the hopefulness of a shining beacon of light to guide you home.
The blanket is 150 stitches wide by 201 rows high and measures approximately 43” by 57.5” (110cm by 147cm) not including border when made in worsted weight yarn with a 5.0mm hook.
You will need appx. 1362 yards (1246 meters) yarn in color A (lightest color) and 1452 yards (1328 meters) in color B (darkest color) not including border to complete this pattern.
It Includes split charts marked with a darker line every 10 stitches, as well as a nice large one page chart for Knit Companion. It also includes written instructions for both left and right hand crocheters.
Note--This pattern starts with the lighter yarn color that you wish to use
This pattern does not teach you how to do mosaic crochet. It does not teach you to switch colors within a row (an understanding of how to switch colors within a row is not necessary to complete this pattern, however a link to a reference video is included should you choose to do so).
