I’ve fallen in love with this Long Loop Shell pattern, and decided it needed to be a sunhat! I love this stitch in particular because it’s reminiscent of Broomstick Lace, but you don’t need another tool, which is great.

It uses cotton yarn, so it’s lightweight, but the brim in single crochets keeps it tight enough to block out the sun. Also, a handy optional wire in the brim keeps it sticking out, but there is also a not-so-wide wireless version, too!

The matching tote bag is also available - and the tote and sunhat are made from a single cake - so you’re guaranteed to match!
