the longing these fingerless mitts refer to is a ‘longing for spring’ or anything green and growing. this feeling is intensified by just how many inches (and still falling) of snow we are currently under.

knit in the round in a diagonal textured stitch, these are going to be a great way to transition from winter to the warmer winds of spring. i chose happy, cheery yarn colors to remind myself that spring really will get here eventually. it always does. whew.

(photos were all taken late last fall before the snows hit). spud and chloe ‘fine’ shown in orangutan and worn pulled flat up the arm. dirty water dyeworks ‘lillian’ shown in ribbit and worn scrunched down at the wrist and over a light jacket.
