Pattern description from Weekend Knitting: “Leggings go in and out of fashion pretty quickly, but regardless of trends, I think of them as a wardrobe staple in the winter. On cold days, I wear them under my pants or under boots with a skirt. Sometimes I even wear them on my arms beneath a sweater. Either way, they’re a fun, easy project, and they are especially comfortable when worked in super-soft merino wool. This pattern is sized for children and adults.”

Finished Measurements: To fit child (adult). Finished circumference 8 (9.75)“. Finished length 14 (17)”.

Yarn: Morehouse Merino 3-Strand Variegated (100% merino wool; 145 yards / 2 ounces): 2 (2) skeins. Shown in book in peacock (purple, green, bronze), sugarplum (purple, mauve), and spice (peach, pink).

Needles:

  • One set of five double-pointed needles (dpn) size US 6 (4 mm).
  • Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
