ABOUT THE PATTERN
#LOOPYCLUTCH is worked from the bottom up in single crochet and loop stitches. First, the base is worked in the round with increases along the sides to shape the bottom, followed by the sides of the clutch, which are worked to the specified measurements. Finally, the clutch frame is attached to the work using single crochet stitches.

TECHNIQUES
CHAIN (CH): Yarn over and pull through the loop on the hook.

SINGLE CROCHET (SC): Insert the hook into the stitch and pull up a loop. Yarn over once more, then pull through both loops on the hook.

FRONT SIDE LOOP STITCH (FLP ST): Use a library card/credit card or a piece of cardboard (approx. 8 cm wide) to achieve even loop stitches.

To work the loops: wrap the yarn around the card on the front of the work so the yarn sits in front of the next stitch you are about to work. Insert the hook into the stitch and pull up a loop. The yarn wrapped around the card will now sit between the previous worked stitch and the stitch you are currently working. Yarn over again and pull through both loops on the hook.

In comparison, the loop stitch is worked like a standard single crochet, except that a loop is formed between each stitch
