Lorelei Song shawl is inspired by the Lorelei, a beautiful siren or mermaid-like creature from German folklore and literature. She sits atop the rock, combing her golden hair and singing a mesmerizing song. Her song is believed to lure sailors to their doom by causing them to crash their ships on the rocks. But don’t worry, this “song” won’t crash you. Despite looking complicated the stitch pattern is very simple and repeats are short and easy to memorize.

Lorelei Song is an asymmetrical triangular-shaped shawl, knitted sideways. The pattern can be worked from the written instructions or charts. The size is easy to adjust by working more or fewer repeats (you will need more yarn to make it bigger).
