This classic and elegant wrap features a simplistic diamond pattern created by knit and purl stitches and some seed stitch on the sides.
The shape of the wrap is rectangular, the seed stitch ends can be blocked stronger so that the ends are wider than the rest of the wrap.

I created this design while exploring the beautiful country of Norway by ship. The joy of waking up to the sight of the vast ocean every morning inspired the name for the Losing Sight of Shore Wrap.

Difficulty level:
The pattern is suitable for beginners who are able to cast on and off, knit and purl.
The pattern contains both charted and written instructions.

Yarn:
2 skeins of Dimidium by Ovis et Cetera in the colourway New Jeans
(50% wool, 50% ramie, 250 m/273 yards per 100 g skein)
170g or 425 m/464 yards in total

Dimidium contains 50% wool and 50% ramie and is a drapey and lightweight yarn.

The wrap can be knit in a number of yarn weights, just be aware that this will change the measurements of the wrap. By altering the number of pattern repeats you can easily adjust the size to your liking.

A word on yarn choice:
Although I can highly recommend the yarn I used for my sample, I encourage you to have a look at your stash first to see if you might already have some yarn suitable for this project. I think this design would look great in a number of different yarns and yarn weights.

4.5 mm / US size 7 needles
