♫ The Music ♫
BrunuhVille is a Portuguese composer who, according to his site, “creates a world of magic and fantasy between the fusion of Gothic, orchestral, Celtic, folk, movie, ethnic and world music.” The intricately melodic tunes from his Tales from the Lost Kingdom have inspired the Lost Kingdom series of designs.

These toe-up socks begin with a barn toe. The Celtic cable panel runs along one side of the instep and leg. The cables are mirrored on the right and left sock. The sole is worked in Stockinette stitch (knit every round). Gusset increases are worked at the sides of the sole and a small cable motif is incorporated into each gusset. The heel is turned using a short row heel cap which means no picking up stitches. The heel flap is worked in a standard slipped-stitch pattern.

To work the recommended bind off (picture tutorial on Techniques page), knitters need to be able to ‘read their knitting’ i.e., identify knit or purl stitches as they present themselves.

Cable patterns are charted with written directions provided. Cable pattern matches the Lost Kingdom: Coimbra Fingerless Mitts.
