Although I tried for a truly rectangular shawl those darn Lost Souls wouldn’t comply on the ends even with a half motif on the edges. So while the top and bottom are flat the sides are gently arched. Given the feedback from the triangular shawl, thought I would provide a bit of the reasoning behind choices for why stitches are worked in a particular manner for certain parts of the shawl. You’ll notice the skulls of this version are a little more discreet. It has been lots of fun to see people’s faces when the Lost Souls are noticed in the lacework.
