Lotus Garden Shawl is triangular shawl worked from the bottom edge up towards the neck edge. Shawl is slightly heavier than lace shawl because of the reverse stockinette base. On top of the reverse stockinette runs the ornamental stitch patterns. Small size is good for a shawlette and the large size is almost like a light triangular blanket.

Due to the bottom-up construction it is advised rather to overestimate than underestimate the yarn meterage.

The pattern is charted with written notes.

Tips:
Cast on loosely to let the blocking work the magic in the end.
Leave the edge stitches loose throughout the knitting.
The finished shawl will resemble a ‘kite’ shape, but the blocking will help to shape the finished shawl into a triangle with a wawy ‘bottom’ edge.
