Subtly show off your Trek fandom with this lovely, lacy poncho inspired by Deanna Troi’s jumpsuit from The Next Generation.

The neck band replicates the woven texture of the costume using the thermal stitch. The body has a repeating pattern of the Star Trek insignia with a lacy fringe. Worked top down, sizes can be completely customized to get the perfect fit for you.

Full of photos and diagrams, this pattern is recommended for an intermediate crocheter, but an experienced beginner should be able to get good results if you take your time!

As with many on-screen costumes, different lighting gives different ideas on what the “correct” colors are. I’ve used two yarns from Hobbii - Rainbow Cotton Deluxe 8/4 to give a woven texture to the neck band, and New Arezzo for it’s bamboo/linen/cotton blend that has a beautiful sheen and drape. Also included is a color appendix for other choices should you want something warmer or a darker color more like the actual costume. It’s all up to you!

Instructions are given for sizes all the way from XXS to XXL and are customizable. Options are noted along the way.
