The Loud Mouth Socks were designed especially for fans of the Yampa Valley Voice, a local newspaper in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I’ve based the pattern on their logo with the mouth at the toe screaming up at the ears on the cuff. All that stranded colorwork makes this sock so warm and cuddly to wear that you won’t mind when it gets to -40F outside!

These socks use four different colors in the Wildfoote yarn: Black Orchid, Vanilla, Blue Blood Red and Sunboard Blue. Basic colors, but oh so fabulous and graphic together.

I start you out at the toe so you have tons of practice stranding two colors and warm up for the four rows at the top where you need to strand three colors. This sock is great for colorwork practice and skill advancement.

As the stranded colorwork doesn’t stretch very much, make sure to round up on your foot measurement so they fit well.
