This project will require scrap yarn to hold the arms and legs of the doll.

Some kind of fill will be required. I used nomal poly-fil.

Eyes and mouth and other decorations are up to you; I used safety eyes and I sewed on some felt for the mouth. Be creative

In the pattern where I mention using 24 inch circular needles for magic loop, 24 is a minimum. I personal used 40 inch, which is honestly a bit to large for this doll. Something between 24 and 36 should be fine. If you like to work in the round with 2 circular needles, the pattern should work unchanged. I suspect that this boy could be done on double pointed needles, but I don’t use them, so I can’t really help you with that.

This doll will require some more advanced techniques. including “judy’s magic cast on”, putting live stitches on scrap yarn, picking up live stiches off of scrap yarn, and Kitchner stitch. So this doll is not really a beginner project, but it is short and a fairly simple application of these techniques.

It might be a good project after your first scarf and hat. Uses some sock and sweater techniques, but its small and quick.
