The moment I first saw Spring Harvest Mill, I was inspired to knit. A little mill and alpaca farm in the high plains steppe of Eastern Washington, they are a real independent gem. Their work is rooted in the land and the love they have for their herd of alpacas. I have learned so much about the work and craftsmanship that goes into the yarn I’ve long loved that I wanted to make a pattern to show off their amazing work.

Louisa’s Hat is elastic and warm. It’s named for a favorite from the flock who is bright and affectionate. This is a hat whose stitch pattern allows for a wide range of heads to find a perfect fit.
