I love stripes almost as much as I love a quick knit and this top has both. This garment is knit side to side which gives it a wonderful drape when finished but bear in mind it will also have a bit of stretch so when you measure your gauge hold your swatch up rather than laying it flat when you measure. Remember to check your gauge again after you have knit a few inches (which is alway a good idea). When adding a new ball of yarn always add at the beginning of a row since it makes it’s so much easier when weaving int your ends.

I used Schulana Kilino which is a Linen & Cotton blend and a total pleasure to work with but any yarn can be used that hits the gauge of 16sts & 29 rows = 4” on a US needle. It took 8 skeins of yarn (125yds a skien apx) and a I had almost an entire skien of yarn left over.

Friends of all shapes & sizes tried it on and it looked good on all of them and I’m not kidding it really did.
