Size & Finished Measurements
One Size, Circumference: 18.5”/47cm (stretches up to 24”/61cm) - Height: 9”/23cm.

Yarn & Quantity
Worsted weight, in 2 high contrasting colors. 1 Skein of 100g/225yd/206m for each.
A good way to know if colors are high contrast is to take a black & white picture of them. For this project one of the skeins I used was self striping yarn, and the second skein was lightly speckled.

Needles
Ribbing: US6/4.0mm - 16”/40cm (Circular Needles)
Main: US7/4.5mm - 16”/40cm (Circular Needles)
Closing: US7/4.5mm - 8”/20cm DPNS

Gauge
Gauge on main needles: 20 sts & 24 rows = 4”/10cm, after blocking.
Swatching is highly recommended for this project.

Notions
1 stitch marker, 1 tapestry needle, scissors, measuring tape, and 1 balloon.

Suggested Yarn
I used a 4-ply 100% super wash merino wool. You are free to use any yarn you like, as long as you make sure to match your gauge and choose a worsted weight yarn.
Support your local yarn shop, indie yarn dyers, or simply use your stash.
Have fun picking colors!
