Love and Lace Shawl

This shawl was created for a charity event I wanted to take part in for the Wounded Warriors Ball in the fall of 2015.

It is of my own design with no outside source of inspiration other than the love for our country that these men and women showed during their time serving for our freedom. During the month of November in honor of Veterans Days funds raised by sells of this pattern will be donated to Operation Stand Down in Huntsville Alabama to help homeless veterans.

It was made using Heritage 150 Sock Yarn.

You will need two skeins (approximately 984 yards or 300 grams)

If you don’t have sock yarn you can use your favorite worst weight yarn however you will need a larger hook size. For worsted weight I recommend a H/8-5.00mm hook.

Okay let’s get started.

Abbreviations:
SC (single crochet)
DC(double crochet)
SL ST (slip stitch)
CH(chain)
