Overview
The trousers are worked from the top down. First, a waistband is knitted, with elastic inserted inside. The back is then worked slightly higher, after which the trousers are knitted in the round in stockinette stitch and the heart pattern is established.

A gusset is then worked, before the legs are knitted separately.
