LoveLace is a topdown sweater that has been knitted using an Estonian lace pattern. The revamp of the lace pattern into a modern design with drop shoulders, an oversized body and slightly cropped length is lightweight and relatively quick to knit on 5mm needles.

The sweater is seamless, combining consecutive shoulder increases with short rows to shape the front neckline. The finished sweater has approximately 10” positive ease. When deciding which size to make please bear this in mind. My recommendation would be to choose the size based on the amount of positive ease you most prefer. For the most part the sweater is knitted in the round on circular needles. As with all topdown hand knits the body and sleeves can be lengthened or shortened to your personal preference.

The lace pattern knits with a natural bias which can become a design feature in itself or greatly eliminated after blocking.

The sweater has been designed with 10” (25cm) positive ease around the body. Please bear this in mind when deciding which size to make and refer to the Measurements section for actual garment measurements.
