Low Sew Little Dragon
Hello Fellow Crocheter!
This is my first pattern that I have made, and it is based on elements from Thalia Evans’ Worry Wyrm Dragon (a free pattern here on Ravelry.)
This dragon is low sew and is crocheted in continuous rounds with the wings crocheted separately and sewn on to the body. The eyes and nose detail are embroidered.
I have made this dragon with both perle coton and worst weight yarn and they are equally adorable. I used a crochet hook size that gives me a tight but workable stitch.
Materials needed:
Preferred yarn/thread- I like to use DMC Perle Coton size 5 skein You will need your color choice for the wings and body and a small amount of black for the nose and eye details.
Hook size- Depends on yarn used, I use a 1.5/1.75mm hook for the Perle cotton
Stuffing-small amount
embroidery needle-for eyes, nose and sewing on wings
Pipe cleaner/chenille stem- to position head and neck.
This pattern is untested. Be kind, this is my first attempt at writing a pattern. Happy Crocheting!
